6 DAYS - Departing Sunday 26th July 2015

An escorted tour of Sandringham Flower Show, gardens and stately homes. Based at the 4 star Mercure Hotel Norwich, 3 miles from the city centre. Fully equipped contemporary bedroom, delicious fare. Feel good health club complete with pool, sauna and spa. All rooms have flat screen TV and tea/coffee.

Day 1 - Sunday

Morning departure from Pembrokeshire by luxury air conditioned coach with enhanced leg room to ensure extra comfort. Pickup along the way. Arrive at Norwich late afternoon.

Day 2 - Monday

Today we visit Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Gardens. Set in 500 acres of unspoilt Wensum Valley, nature trails, meadows and woodlands. A feature of Pensthorpe is its’ spectacular gardens, designed by Chelsea Flower Show award winners Piet Oudolf and Julie Toll. Piet’s naturalistic Millennium Garden is now fully established and at its very best in July.

Day 3 - Tuesday

Morning visit Blooms of Bressingham and Foggy Bottom, the garden of Alan Bloom, who developed the concept of informally shaped island beds (as opposed to long borders backed by a wall or hedge) for growing herbaceous perennials. Some 5000 different plant varieties can be seen. Afternoon to Raveningham Hall Gardens, which sits in splendid parkland with lawns near the house, flanked by borders of shrubs and herbaceous perennials and a walled kitchen garden with greenhouses.

Day 4 - Wednesday

The 134th Sandringham Flower Show. Spend a day enjoying the garden displays.

Day 5 - Thursday

Morning visit to National Trust Blickling Hall. A spectacular 17th century home and 43 acres of sumptuously planted traditional gardens and enchanting woods. A beautiful parterre of Four Square beds planted with herbaceous perennials. Afternoon visit to the Old Vicarage, East Ruston. A magnificent garden of outdoor rooms, similar to Hidcote. A perfect way to end the tour.

Day 6 - Friday

Return home to Wales via Wychbold Garden Centre.

Pickup/drop off points: Fishguard, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke, Tenby, Kilgetty, Carmarthen, Swansea, Cardiff.
